New Year, New Focus on disability in golf!

The support of golfers with disabilities is an integral part of development within golf and forms one of our three priority groups areas (Women, Ethnic Minorities and Disability).

It is important that we receive feedback to ensure we provide the best services and support for golfers with disabilities.

Derbyshire stages first golf festival - 03 May 2011

Derbyshire has staged the first of three golf festivals for 2011 as part of the Derbyshire Golf Partnership's support of the wider England Golf initiative to open up more golfing opportunities through its ' Get into Golf' campaign.

A dozen clubs signed up to support the first-week long festival which ran from April 9 to April 17

Further festivals will be held to coincide with the upswing in golfing interest surrounding the Open Championship and the Women's British Open in July.

Events run by clubs and facilities include free taster sessions and golf coaching
